Statement of Purpose:
The Orange County Reader was founded to provide news, information, and opinion on Orange County’s politics, business, culture, entertainment, and more. Our content is split into two distinct areas in order to meet that goal.
Editorial Policy: Blog
We have none. There are no editors in the traditional sense of the word. Or put another way, the only person responsible for the views, opinion, and content of any particular blog post, article, forum thread, or comment is the individual who wrote it. The Orange County Reader does not substantively edit the content that appears on this site unless it violates the Terms of Service and we rely on the community to self-regulate. The Orange County Reader will not knowingly allow authors, contributors, or others to publish anything that comprises unauthorized proprietary information and requires its writers to disclose when they’ve received any goods or services for free or at a discount in connection with an article in compliance with FTC regulations.
If you believe that anything appearing on the Orange County Reader blog is libelous, fraudulent, illegal, obscene, abusive, or violates the rights of any third party, the Terms of Service, or the policies outlined above, contact us at admin@ocreader.com. We will take your complaint seriously and remedy the situation promptly, if warranted.
Editorial Policy: Forum
Statements and opinions expressed on The Orange County Reader forums are solely those of their respective authors and may not represent the views of The Orange County Reader or its various contributors. The Orange County Reader is not responsible for the accuracy of any of the information supplied by the site’s contributors or members.
